I donât live in the states and perhaps Iâm a little paranoid but can you not just withdraw some cash from the machine and buy whatever you want, or is this a business side issue which hampers the retailers ability to do business with other entities?
A few thoughts off the top of my head:

Withdrawing cash may not be that easy. There are lots of areas where cash machines are few and far between. And those that exist are expensive to use.

Forcing a business to only take cash adds a lot of expense and hassle for the business:
Insurance goes through the roof.
You have to physically transport large amounts of cash from your store to a bank, who will probably charge you extortionate amounts for wanting to pay in cash because they donât want to have to deal with cash either.
And of course you canât in fact take your money to a bank because most banks wonât take your filthy dirty drug money (/s) even though your business is legal in your state.
So you have huge piles of cash and drugs sitting about making your business a massive target for criminals thereby ensuring that your insurance goes through the roof, your otherwise ordinary retail job is stupidly dangerous, and justifying the assertion that cannabis sales should be illegal because of the criminality that results.

Mainstream Japanese media are alleged to have ignored problems at Johnny & Associates as they benefited from access to the agencyâs music and acting talent. The company was responsible for making stars of acts including the J-Pop band SMAP, Tanokin Trio, Arashi, Kinki Kids and KAT-TUN.
The scandal had remained largely dormant until March, when the BBC aired a documentary that included interviews with alleged victims of Kitagawaâs abuse. Since then, others have come forward and identified themselves as Kitagawaâs victims.
âOur interactions with victims of sexual harassment involving Johnny and Associates talents have exposed deeply alarming allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse involving several hundreds of the companyâs talents, with media companies in Japan reportedly implicated in covering up the scandal for decades,â reads the UN groupâs end-of-mission statement.

This follows a concerted campaign aimed at subverting one local authority initiative which proposed including an anti-racism module as part of the City of JyvĂ€skylĂ€âs staff training.
Within a week, the initiative had been undersigned by a long list of names containing racist language and Nazi references. Among the references were also names of well-known public figures and politicians.
