It’s a “treatment” that was popular in some Oz psych circles a few decades ago. It (1) doesn’t work, and (2) killed a lot of people. We had a royal commission about it.

Autorouting an army of meatbots instead of pure robocalls doesn’t make it legit. Sounds like a job for the FCC. Ha!
RNC officials said the calls were not prerecorded “robocalls,” and asserted that they used a vendor to survey voters. The voters that opposed Trump’s official impeachment inquiry were then automatically offered to be connected to the offices of their congressional representatives, according to the officials.
Odd are, the “vendor” was someone like Koch Bro’s i360, with information to pinpoint the people to survey.
