He could have weaseled out of that one, but he was also guilty of the even worse crime of embarrassing the ruling class, acting out the role of a sneering parasitic plutocrat instead of quietly cashing his checks and pretending to be, you know, a “philanthropist” or something

Which is going to cause major problems for people who have disabilities that don’t simply involve being a Karen.

Oh, and one more thread. This whole thing is pure Astroturf.

ETA: let me be clear. There are people who genuinely can’t wear a mask. But people like this are going to fuck things up for them. The repercussions here are lasting.

And I’m sure these people would

a) be able to tell the store manager specifically why they can’t wear a mask, rather than the nebulous"I have a condition"

and

b) gladly take them up on their offer to shop for them

The point is, they shouldn’t have to. This is like the straw debate cranked up to 20. No one should have to reveal their medical history. Disabled people are like anyone else in that regard.

And if it weren’t for wacklefucks like this, it wouldn’t matter. You only need 80% of the population to mask up when social distancing isn’t possible. If these assholes would just be decent human beings, then it wouldn’t be a problem.

Meanwhile, I have to disclose my medical condition in public whenever I’m in Indiana because it’s the only way to get people to follow appropriate distancing guidelines (especially considering the fact that they refuse to wear masks) around me.

The part that surprises me is why they would want Gilgamesh, as it proves that the Bible isn’t a unique story written specifically by their God. Kind of curious what their get-around-the-truth would be for that.
