Donât you know? Of course the bible isnât a unique story because it is a perfect historical record. Gilgamesh for instance proves, if you needed proof, that Noahâs flood is a real event. Unfortunately it manages to mangle all sorts of other details, which is what happens when you donât check the version written specifically by God. Still, that it agrees in some details shows it isnât entirely valueless.

âSenator Elizabeth Warren wants to know why some businesses that are getting federal funding are not required to keep their workers employed.â
âCongress gave Treasury the authority to dole out $500 billion to shore up mid-sized and large corporations. But unlike the Payroll Protection Program and other small-business lending facilities, which forgive loans when businesses keep employees on their payroll, Treasury did not stipulate anything about big businesses having to do the same.â
âElizabeth Warren was displeased, to say the least.â
âYouâre boosting your Wall Street buddies, and you are leaving the American people behind,â she said. âYou were given the authority to determine the terms ⌠and those term sheets do not require that a single corporation getting millions of dollars in taxpayer money retain one job.â
âWe expect people to use their best efforts to support jobs,â Mnuchin said.
âWarren noted thatâs far from a requirement.â

In the general election, she will run into the buzzsaw that is Jeff Merkley, though. Heâs been kicking ass lately, and has a 70%+ approval rating in Oregon. Part of the reason she won is because none of the credible Republicans in the state wanted to be crushed by him (again).
