Morons. A boat parade on a river is properly done in single file, so that there is space between the wakes and they are all coming from the same direction. The Dumbass parade this weekend was unorganized and all over the place, which meant that there was wake coming from multiple directions and intersecting each other. The boat that sank wasnât some kayak, either. It was a 20-something foot ski boat, that did the right thing and pointed their bow into the wake. But the Willamette there is all hard shoreline, including vertical walls, so the wake from the idiot parade just reflected off and hit the ski boat in the stern quarters and went right over the gunnels.
