Picking through the State Policy Network, finding an article or two for each one, I came across this depressing read of whatās been going on. Itās got everything: southern white supremacists, anti-Semites, John Birchers. and naturally, Papa Koch.
(Interesting that those conservative justices managed to find some justification in the Foundersā thoughts and writings. I guess they had the correct seer stone to read it.)
The moral of the story is never to compromise or āsplit the differenceā with someone whoās going to be back next year to split the difference again, and again.

eta: Iāve been pondering the fact that the Civil War marked the end of Slavery Capitalism and the begining Oil Capitalism. I mean obviously oil =/= slavery, but did oil fill a niche left empty? But damn, those guys make me think the connection is more direct and literal than the metaphor that I was considering.
