I kind of think the kid really does understand. I really respect the way he just lets the dude keep talking while clearly disbelieving everything coming out of his mouth.

Nice, a good example of carefully parsing the language to keep the guy from immediately dismissing you, keep him on the line long enough and not even deliver a punch line-- the whole thing is the punchline.

Honestly that’s why this kind of snarky smug ‘activism’ doesn’t really accomplish anything. It most of the audience isn’t even aware of the statement being made, then it’s just self-congratulatory wankery at best. (And a self-own at worst if the right wing dipshits just take the ironic statement at face value and double down).
