Several people i know who played Last of Us II hated the ending so much.
It’s a game pretty much only deserving accolades for its options to help anyone to play. It really set a high bar in that regard, especially the high contrast modes and such.

Ahh yes, this is the other game which exploits trans characters.

There were several points where I was like, “Wow, what a beautiful, poignant ending…oh wait, there’s more.” Each time, the impact was less than the time before.
