RIFLE IS FINE
UmâŚthatâs just some random, unnamed dudeâs blog. More trustworthy than the Atlantic? Yeah, no.
That âfree-speechâ zone stuff has got a lot of these folks pissed off, and itâs completely involved in this situation too. See:
Dave Bundy was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Sunday as he was in a car parked along State Route 170 near Mesquite.
âHe was there to do some filming when about 11 federal agents pulled up and arrested him,â Clive Bundy told News 3. âThey said he was outside of the First Amendment area and they took him down. We donât know where he is now.â
Dave Bundy is Clivenâs son, and his arrest was in a large part what started locals protesting, though the balance of power between federal and more local government has become the main point of contention.
This picture was taken by one of the protesters out in Nevada:
It certainly does not apply to land owned by everyone, such as Federal land or local parkland. It is indeed a thing but certainly does not apply here.
But how important is it to adjust your scope quickly if you donât intend to shoot anyone that day? Because I would think if you donât intend to shoot anybody, itâs pretty fucking important not to be pointing a rifle at a crowd of people.
Weirdly, itâs also the name of the Apple shop in Carlisle. No, really.
I donât know that the sun will rise tomorrow. But I can make a pretty reasonable inference.
âPeople who love liberty, and speak well on the subject are very careful to point out the difference between Judaism and Zionism. pride and prejudiceâ
and also a bigot.
Actually, the âshowing improvementâ bit comes from the Homestead Act of 1862; in order to become a landowner, homesteaders leased land for a âfiling feeâ of $18, then if after 5 years they had âimprovedâ the land theyâd receive a deed. It was visualized as a check to keep people from buying up land for cheap and then doing nothing with it, since if it was unimproved, the land reverted back to ownership of the government.
Simo Häyhä killed hundreds of people with just iron sightsâŚ
If you want to hit what you are aiming at, very important. The point of firing a weapon is to hit what you are aiming at, not the guy standing next to him. Also carrying a firearm doesnât mean you are carrying it with the intent to shoot someone. Itâs to be able to protect yourself if anyone intends to shoot at you. And before we get into the argument of âbut theyâre the Governmentâ, thatâs a completely different discussion. All I have to say on that matter for now is Kent State.
The main problem I have with that pic isnât what the shooter is aiming at. For all we know, it could be a cactus, a groundhog, or even his buddy Fred set up across the gorge. What bothers me is that someone smart enough to use proper trigger discipline would be stupid enough to be used by the gathered press as a prop for a photo op that seems to be getting more attention than the actual issue of why he was there in the first place. He just became the poster child of what every anti gun liberal claim is wrong with the 2nd Amendments and local militias. Next up, Michael Bloomberg or Nancy Pelosi will be using that pic in some ad campaign, or as the basis for some gun control legislation.
Exactly. Why is it that when whiteness gets pointed out, a lot of whites respond, âThatâs racist! These people arenât white supremacists out to commit white supremacy! Look, no black or brown people anywhere in there!â etc. (I think itâs because theyâre not used to having whiteness labeled as such, so accustomed are they to having it pass as the default, non-racially marked norm, but maybe thatâs just me.)
Just for the record, the majority of the protesters were completely unarmed, and this guy was doing a photoshoot.
Who said âalwaysâ?
Did you miss the part about the crazies actively discussing the putting of the unarmed women and children out front, using the sympathetic as human shields, should the proverbial fecal matter strike the ventilation apparatus?
The majority of this crowd were also notably unconcerned by this guy, posing for his gun pr0n, and pointing his bang-stick at the five oh.
âPlease call authorities if your insurrection lasts more than 8 hoursâ
No mention of the government snipers aiming at the peaceful protesters. Hmmmm.
Well itâs one thing that all of us can agree upon is that the 1st amendment is NOT an area, so thatâs a plus. Thanks for posting that photo and story. But itâs true that the politics of an event or situation force people to choose sides when there is a lot of grey area and even common ground. Again, these so called defenders of liberty were nowhere to be found when the original free speech zones were being first set up during the Iraq war protests or was it the G8 summits in the northwest. That should have been a call to arms for these numnuts but they sat back to drink beer and polish their guns because they didnât agree with the surface politics but just under the surface is politics that affect us all.
