I’ve seen several pissed-off ones up close (they did not like my dog), and yeah, I can believe it.

I like it.
I had an unpleasant experience with a goose sneaking up on me and nipping me while I was practicing righting a submerged canoe. My dad watched it sneak up on me, not realizing the hysterics about to ensue. Been scared of geese ever since.
But, I mean, do they always honk? What if they are sleeping when the escape happens?
