I love the satirical aspect of these images. But too many times in the past I’ve seen idiots ignore the satire and unironically adopt the image. Archie Bunker became the icon of a new generation of racists. “Greed is good” became the slogan of American finance. And then people watched the parody reality show “The Apprentice” and actually came to believe the brainless, pompous, has-been buffoon hosting it was a real businessman.
