Looks handy. But what about the For-Ghetti spaghetti fork as a useful tool?

I have one of these camping ones, but I don’t think I ever used it. Most of the time when camping I just eat spoon-friendly foods like macaroni or rice dishes. Or schlep a sub into the woods from town.

I have a boxed set. The Splayd does not work well as a spoon if you are trying to eat soup.

Trouble with these is I can’t use it holding it in the middle so I’d be using what used to be lifting food as a handle. I always eat all the fork food first, wipe off the fork, and eat all the spoon food.

The thing is, it looks cool, like “wow, they fit all three utensils onto one utensil!”

Also, titanium! Wooowee!

Knowing this exists will cover a lot of future wedding presents

There’s also the Switch Spork which comes in two pieces that can lock together for a longer utensil - fork, spoon, and knife:

We have many of these (being Aussies).

Not so good for soup, but OK for anything a little thicker in consistency.

Won’t cut a steak, but will cut chicken and fish.

The only thing it really fails on is long noodles of any sort. The tines simply are not long enough.

OTOH, they are made from high grade stainless steel, and are practically indestructable.

Wouldn’t one require two of these – or one of these plus a regular fork – to cut particular foods that would need to be held down in order to be cut?

I use mine all the time. Excellent for rice dishes, short pasta, casseroles, etc.

Well yes, I own one because they had me at titanium.

Unless you want your chopsticks to float and, thereby of their own buoyant accord, pop out from your filled ramen bowl and on to the table, don’t purchase titanium chopsticks. They’re as hollow and well-sealed as Ohio-class submarines.

Titanium is crucial for that particular design. The plastic ones tend to snap in the middle of the handle way too easily.

I’m with Desantis. Let’s outlaw all utensils.
