So, is it “WeeJee” or “WeeJah”?

WeeJah – it’s supposedly a mash-up of French and German words for “Yes”.

there was a time in my life when i thought i’d start collecting Ouija boards – i’m glad i didn’t. i had no idea there were so many! (not to mention planchettes)

The German pronunciation of ‘yes’ is Yah.
So, ‘wee yah’ if you wanted to be a stickler about it.
We always called it a Wee Gee Board.
ETA: I knew people who called it a Weeja Board. They are all correct, I suppose, as long as people know what you are referring to.
Missouri… Missourah… Potato… Potahto… etc.

There is a memorial in the 7-11 in Midtown on Charles St. in Baltimore… Who knew he invented it there amongst the Slurpee’s and Big-Bites!
