Boing boing is suppose to be a “directory of wonderful things”. This morning I scrolled through “kilometres” of For Sale items. sigh

Seriously? Four wax embalmed, decapitated rose heads in a box for $135? This seems like the kind of Valentine’s Day present a serial killer would give.

Note that as with embalming people, these embalmed rose heads are artificially colored. Look at the bottom of the roses and you can see that the split bud (not sure what it’s called) that should be green is now bright red. Much of the nuance that makes roses gorgeous has been lost.
