Man, if I had room in my life for more clutter I’d be…
As it is, perhaps BB’s official slogan for election 2020 should be:
I wish The Star Chamber was more quotable.
I throw money around like a complete idiot but I can’t, I just can’t.
$70… I think that’s more than they spent on the movie.
Mr. & Mrs. Trumpanzie, welcome to America…
Oh, now those are cool!
That’s optimistic of them that we will make it to Halloween with a functioning economy.
$69.99 + $15.99 S&H = CONSUME
no thanks
The short short story that inspired it, Ray Nelson’s “Eight O’Clock in the Morning”, is well worth a read. (It is posted here and there on the web.) In some ways it is better than the movie, as it is more ambiguous. The aliens are more lizardy than in the movie, unfortunately David Icke’s pilfering of that image has apparently poisoned the expression “lizard people”.
NO INDEPENDENT THOUGHTS!
OBEY! DO NOT QUESTION!
(Yes, this is a complete sentence. Two of them.)
Thanks for the heads up. I’m tracking it down now.
Failure to obey the first two sentences will be followed by the third sentence. That sentence id Death.

is a here, or maybe a there.
At $70 for a toy action figure, I suspect this will mostly be purchased by the very alien conspiracists depicted and will be displayed in an ironic fashion and in-joke for other conspiracists to nod and wink at while drinking the tears of the poor and throwing excess toothpaste, soap and blankets away just because they have too much of it and who needs it anyway.
All these years loving that movie, I never knew it was based on a short story – a very enjoyable one, too.
In my mind, i read it in Rowdy Roddy Piper’s voice. Blow up your TVs!
