Can I buy that online?
About 30 km south from my place is castle Frankenstein, they should really consider something like that.
Nice work getting the bats to “fly” in the right orientation!
You could make one:
Or get a UT Austin themed one?

Worlds best snow action- snow falls for a long time with nice big flakes! On my desk at work.
Lovely! A classic!
Yeah, when I saw that it was not available to buy, I got sucked into several hours of researching how to DIY.
There are several websites out there with DIY instructions for building one using a mason jar, but I wanted a globe, so I kept searching.
Adafruit sells a snow globe kit that is actually the cheapest I’ve found at $4.95, and the base is designed so you can fit a board in there if you like and program it to do cool things like maybe light up and/or play music when you shake it.
The best thing about that is, you can get just the basic globe and build something for cheap, and the electronics compartment can easily be unscrewed so you can add components later!
Just go to adafruit.com and search for snow globe to find all that. If you want glass instead of plastic, I found a site called snowdome.com that sells those. They also sell plastic globes, but at much higher prices than the Adafruit one.
I’m going to head to Michael’s to see what they have in the way of tiny castles or other buildings that could go in there, but I didn’t see much online. Model railroad hobby story might be better, but I even went off on a jag looking into small 3d printers to build my own, or some epoxy clay to sculpt stuff old school.
I could use a new obsessive-creative hobby, so maybe this will become one…
Pet stores or aquarium supply places may have some interesting castles and things too.
The castle in the globe is a bit wonky, but it’s still the sweetest “snowglobe” ever.
Ah, nice! Also, how have I not seen batglobes before?
Oooh, good idea! Thanks!
If you feel like posting your results, there’s a spot for that.

Little lightning bolts! Cartoonishly large ionized particles!
We can’t shop here!
I liked how the guide in Castle Elsinore in Denmark made a point to stress that this was a real place with historical significance to Danish history, not just the setting of Hamlet. It is unfortunate how places get so associated with works of fiction that visitors forget that.
