Donkeys are KILLERS! they are used in herds of sheep to defend against coyotes.

What a delightful, noisy creature; and the donkey too.

Ranchers also use them to protect horses against wolves and coyotes. The ranch I spent a few summers at in Montana had one called Sparky who was the sweetest animal imaginable, but he ruled the herd when he was in the pastures despite being much smaller than the quarter horses themselves.
