I suppose we all should have spotted this coming from miles away, but I am still legit creeped out by this development.
Humans need no help concocting even more ways to hurt each other.
Not as bad as an AI developing ways to directly kill all of humanity, but the latest advances in AI image generation (DALL-E 2 and Google’s Imagen) is pretty concerning. There’s obviously a ton of cool, fun applications but definitely a sinister side and we’ll never get this genie back in the bottle. Nobody will ever believe that an image is real again if they don’t want to believe it.
