DickHouse shirt did it for me…
wow. you’re right – incredibly accurate.
Wtf internets? First it was revenge porn, now it’s posting my home videos online?
Haha I resembled this a tad at points. I liked to skate around and enjoyed hanging out with my skater pals (some of whom were absurdly good), but I just could not stomach the certain bodily harm that would necessarily accompany learning how to actually skate well and do tricks. I mean, everyone I know would get BUSTED at points. I get weak just thinking about it!
This was maybe an exaggeration for me, but accurate for some of my friends back when I rode BMX. Though a couple of my friends were actually quite good. All of them much better than I, which is why I took the pictures.
If my wife bought me a skateboard I’d know she wants to kill me.
lifestyle grab
A friend of mine built his own skateboard: stole one of his sister’s rollerskates & nailed the parts to the fore & aft ends of a 2x4.
It worked about as well as you might expect; since my skateboard had metal wheels (the same as his), it didn’t work much better. A mere grain of sand is all that was needed to jam the wheel & let you become familiar with Newton’s Laws of Motion…
This was about 10 years or so before plastic wheels became common.
