A lot of people have obsessive behaviors. Most of them, including visiting Disneyland incessantly, don’t seem very interesting or productive. Hence a story about one, cast as a freak exhibition, seems unworthy of such a high-end publication as BoingBoing. It would be more appropriate for one of those little clickbait boxes that clutter up the cheesier ends of the Net.
This seems like a healthier way to self medicate by doing lines.
Wait, you mean afternoon constitutional as in “afternoon constitutional”?
We live pretty close to the San Diego Zoo. I also like that we can just pop in with a pass and leave. Also, the evening zoo hours in the summer make it nice. We can show up around 5 when there is a stream of worn out families going the other direction.
nah. Kinda cool really. I think people who are genuinely into their thing are the best.
I may not agree with my local Jehovahs Witnesses, but I don’t disparage them for trying to live their faith! (although, yes, as an organization they’re not one I want to see succeed, but as individuals… that’s the point)
well, technically, it is was called the Bronx Zoological Park/Gardens. at various times…
If you are able to just hang out and check out different parts of the park every day that seems cool. Disneyland seems like less of a trudge to get around in than Walt Disney World, too. I don’t know if I’d be in the mood for a Dole Whip every day, but I could easily see myself having one a couple of times a week.
You’d really have a good chance to observe and study the place and all of its attractions, too. A lot of creativity and engineering went into creating the park. When I was a kid it cost two bucks to enter Disneyland, and we always had leftover tickets at home to go on the rides.
yeah, I’m not sure at all which meaning to assign there.
Yeah. I’m quite interested in the Disney Parks and I would definitely be interested in having the chance to observe the functioning of the park while not be under the pressure of making the most of my vacation time/dollar.
Good news! Play your cards right and you can actually get PAID to do that.
I dare say there would be other pressures involved…
I was thinking that the job opening they’ve got advertised for a candy maker sounds fun, but perhaps you’re right.
Oh, so he just goes for a couple hours or so. I was going to say, how could he possibly afford it? I don’t even mean the cost of entry, but like $9 hot dogs and the like? I guess you would have to preplan and pack food in.
This man has visited Disneyland 2,000 days in a row
Dad, tell me the story again of why you can’t afford to send me to college.
