it’s so wild to re-watch that video, because then i was able to see through the illusion right up to just before the end, when suddenly it looked real again. the first time through that was the point where i could begin to see it break down.

I need to find some time to try making a borzoi version
My son made one of these just last night to show me. Fun stuff, although it works best with one eye closed.

I already knew what the trick was before even starting the video but it still takes some time before my brain can fully wrap around what i think I’m seeing and what’s actually happening. Simple but effective illusion for sure

I don’t remember where I saw this back in the day, but I saw this several years ago and tried it out. The one I made is all dusty in my cubicle. It works best for me when it’s above my eye line since the dragon looks down a little bit.
