I don’t even know what it’s meant to mean (is it some kind of portmanteau of “delicto” and “elect” or something?), but I’m kinda jealous that he came up with such a rad sounding handle TBH.
Honestly, I could have gone my whole life without knowing Romney’s porn pseudonym.

If it is a lurker account, why does it need a normal name?
The handle is already random, why not use “Mitt” or “Romney” as the display name?
I’d bet a pretty penny that Trump has a bunch of socks posting at The Hill.

it’s my understanding mitt wasn’t trolling or being rude, just trying to engage authentically online.
sure he’s a “public figure” but that’s a slippery slope.
if i stop a hate crime on my way to kroger and make a pithy comment to the local news, or ask a question of a candidate at debate while wearing a distinctive vest, or any number of totally innocent things, i could suddenly be a “public figure” and people would feel entitled to hunt down and tear apart My Posts.
and i don’t like that.
but still i Post because i think there’s a net benefit to me participating in the public discourse, and if someone wants to violate my boundaries i’m happy to have a very public debate about what is or isn’t appropriate behavior.

Without googling, do you remember that guy’s name? Even if you do, do you think about him at all, three years after he got his 15 minutes of internet fame? He’s a power plant worker or something in Southern Illinois, not a former Presidential candidate, sitting US Senator of one state, former Governor of another, and the son of a former Governor of yet another state who also ran for President. Nobody really cares about this guy. And even when they did, or pretended to, they found nothing really that damning in his social media except he likes weird-ish porn and was about as undecided on George Zimmerman as he was on Donald Trump.
