With regards to CZ: it is a lovely stone, that doesn’t get the respect it deserves because it is so often thought of only as a cheap diamond substitute. Which is sad because it has lovely flash and fire; way more than diamond.
And that is how you can easily see the difference between diamond and CZ; once you “see” it, you can notice it from 2-3 foot away, depending on lighting conditions.
And I have yet to see a jewelry store that doesn’t display CZ with their diamonds…
