The video makes me feel sad.
If the tiger and those before it needed rescuing, I’m glad they were saved, but. . .
Shouldn’t have needed rescuing in the first place.
Humans fuck up everything.

wonder if it’s purring
Sorry to burst such a pleasant idea, but tigers can’t purr. He may be chuffing though. Which is also a really cool sound. Scientific name is prusten
Tigers can’t purr. Which kinda gives me a sad because I feel like the really big cats are missing out on the full cat experience.
[edit] Gah! @anon23281680: For shame, I skipped reading but one comment.
Haha. It’s ok. But do listen to the chuffing. Not quite as cool as a good loud purr, but way cute.
I’ve watched hours of video of big cats doing housecat stuff. Good stuff! Some big cats will play with lasers, most will play with boxes, some will even play with an appropriately sized ball.
My standard Siamese does something closer to the chuffing rather than a purr because he refuses to purr out loud. It’s silly, but so is he.
But they can roar! Cmon, which would you rather do??? I was lucky enough to hear the lion roaring at the Bronx Zoo years ago. Words or vid don’t do it justice, it’s very impressive.
I heard this today.
