That was great.
It was. My mood has been significantly uplifted. First Jon, now John, two media figures of their stature showing unequivocal support for trans rights has been fantastic to see.
November 3 in Loudoun County
November 5 in Miami
November 7 back up in DC, ten miles away from Loudoun County
Whoever is booking her tour is as dumb as she is.
Kellie-Jay Keen = Posey Parker
Presumable Parker Posey was enough of a legal threat for her to use her other name.
Thanks. That name I know.
If she’s trying to do a documentary- maybe everyone should put their phones flashlight apps on strobe & point it at her camera.
Everything in that article! ROGD has been discredited multiple times, but like so many anti-science memes, it keeps rising from the grave. If you are willfully ignorant, as most of these folks are, no amount of debunking will do the job. Note my phrasing. “Willful ignorance” is not the same as stupid. A lot of these folks are very well educated and quite literate. They “sound smart.” but they have no room for any concept or idea that contradicts their chosen position. Run if the mill ignorance is redeemable through education and exposure to ideas. Willful ignorance is a terminal condition unless the sufferer themselves choose to free themselves from its grasp. But to do so is to sacrifice their entire social structure, so very very few ever will.
These types of anti crossdressing laws were thrown out starting in the 60’s(?) on first amendment grounds.
Seems to me like RuPaul and other prominent drag queens with a massive platform should be bringing attention to this fuckery…
The suspect grabbed the deputy’s wrist, throwing him off balance, and at that time, the deputy unintentionally briefly used techniques that are not in line with HCSO’s procedures.”
“Unintentionally”
Almost a giallo scene except killers in those usually have black leather gloves and a better color palette. If reality looks like a horror movie there’s something wrong with reality.
Among other things - tried to run people over.
Meanwhile, here in the US.
No mention in the British press, even though Leinster Rugby are a team in the United Rugby Championship. I don’t know if transphobia or Anglo-centricism is the main reason for the lack of coverage.
I think the reason to cover the case is just how horrifying and violent it is. The URC doesn’t tend to get covered in the British (ie English) press as it’s only NI, Wales, and Scotland. And in this case the criminal never played in it. He played in school and a bit of amateur after and was never a pro or attached to a pro team. The sport angle came from the papers here but it’s a bit of a stretch really. The events don’t need any sensationalising, his crimes are horrific, that he also played some sportsball as a schoolkid must be irrelevant unless you are going to make some connection to the crimes.

I read the report referenced here yesterday and it really is quite horrific. Just to warn anyone who wants to click through to the original.
