Also, I mean, I guess the project is about vulvas regardless…but the level of creepy sure changes a lot between “vulvas can be different and yours is ok” and “actually some vulvas are wrong and society needs to know”. Maybe…society actually doesn’t need to be making calls like that? Since nobody is ever interested except for awful reasons?

There has been a lot said about Keen-Minshull and whether she is a warrior for women’s rights or an extremist with views that are harmful to the transgender community. This week I examined many of her interviews recorded for various podcasts to get to the heart of what she is campaigning for and whether there may be some nuance in all of this.
It turns out the rhetoric she uses is much more extreme than I had anticipated. Perhaps her most staggering claim is the suggestion that trans women are sexual predators who pose a safety threat to girls in female bathrooms. She describes being a transgender woman as a “fetish” — a position not supported by health experts who work with people transitioning.

I’m never really across popular culture, but today I was relieved to find out I was wrong: Parker Posey (the actor who has made me laugh a lot) and Posie Parker are not the same people. Not sure how that one slipped past, very glad to be wrong.

If you look at the leaflets for her American tour (and I know why you might not want to 
), she advertised herself as Kellie-Jay Keen. I can only assume this is because Parker Posey’s legal team got in touch and told her that she had to make it clear that Kellie-Jay was not connected to Parker Posey in any way.
It also makes things easier for us because Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull is clearly not a dead name, and Posey Parker is just a stage name, and we are free to call her it as much as we like. If she doesn’t like that then she can go and get it legally changed like so many of us trans people did. I’m sure her private army of Nazis could crowdfund a change of name deed for her, or maybe she could ask her new friend Petunia Dursley for some money.

Welp, the right-wing media seem downright giddy over reports that the Nashville school shooter was a trans woman. I have no idea whether these reports are true or not, I haven’t seen a reputable news organization share that info yet. But it hardly matters at this point because either way they’ve got a story to help fuel their LGBTQ+ people are hunting down Christians and we must defend ourselves at all costs! narrative. Why would the fascists let an everyday tragedy like the mass slaughter of innocent children go to waste, right?
