The reporting on the London Black Trans Lives Matter protests is shit to non-existent. About the most I could find is a 50 second video from the Guardian.
The BBC and the i each have a paragraph in an article that is mostly about the original Gay Liberation Front members rewalking the route of the first pride march in London.
The GLF story is worth writing, but did anyone think how it would look making Black Trans Lives Matter a minor part of a story that is mostly about cis white gay and lesbian people? Both look like they are a rewrite of a Press Association article anyway, so it is doubtful that they even bothered sending anyone to report.
There is nothing in the Mirror, nothing in the Independent, and the Morning Star isnât out until Monday (but they are consistently pro-TERF so anything they print probably isnât worth reading). I havenât bothered looking at the right wing shitrags because we already know they hate us.
We are deliberately being ignored. We need a trans focused Outrage! style group, who will do non-violent direct action that the press cannot ignore.
