Isn’t most toilet paper manufactured by Georgia Pacific right here in the US of A? My worry is what happens when my high end Scotch runs out?
I haven’t used TP in a while (except as an emergency tissue for blowing my nose) at home, bidet mafia 4 lyfe.
This seems particularly silly given that toilet paper is a substantially domestically produced commodity.
The figures I’ve seen are something like 90% US production; with at least some of the imports being from Canada rather than overseas.
There are a variety of things that shipping disruptions could absolutely perturb; but domestic paper products seem like a very weak case.
Marjorie Taylor Greene started promoting that nonsense the day before the strike. MAGAts are trying to destroy consumer confidence to attack the Harris campaign.
It’s as though some people have forgotten that our largest trading partner is Canada and the bulk of goods are transported by train or truck.
[edited my bad grammar. hadn’t consumed any coffee yet.]
Literally a giant paper farm the size of the USA right north of it and the USA already exports more than it imports
But who is going to barter with me if I smell like shit?
Upvote for the last para, let alone the rest. TP panic buying is absolutely a zombie thing.
Just like the good old days of [checks notes] almost four years ago.
Fucking herd mentality man. This country sucks, and so do people.
Do you just pull your pants up while still wet? Or do you sit there until dry? Do I really want to know? Probably not. Never mind, forget I asked.
Depends on which one, downstairs we have a Geberit smart toilet, with an integrated spray head, and air jets, upstairs it’s a classic bidet, with a towel rack on the wall behind and everyone has their own mini towel.
high end scotch runs out you just have to switch to …moon shine.
During covid I actually bought a bidet but I still haven’t installed it.
We never ran out of toilet paper because my wife buys a case a couple times a year and we had just bought a case when the shortages hit.
We even gave some away. We never did run out.
Maybe this winter I’ll install the bidet or maybe buy a fancy new toilet.
I dry with TP. But it uses much much less than I would without the bidet.
