to be fair to the artist, many of the ones on his website were done deliberately to create the illusion with minimal pixels. the one called lovesick, for example–

If they’re concavities, then your eyes have gone in the other direction- they should be convexities.
Try practising with this example and its instructions.
I find it very easy to cross my eyes to see the wrong (concave) version, and much harder to relax them to see the correct one.

Sort of an Emperor’s New Clothes type of thing? I completely agree.
Never had much of a problem with magic eye pix back in the 90s. Then again, didn’t have presbyopia back then,either!
