Trolling or Supportive? Nixon's Library Tweet

I guess high crimes and misdemeanors are in the eye of the beholder. Witness the disconnect:

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Upon going to twitter itself however, the pinned top story is the Fox story. Reading through the feed, it is as if the Nixon Library tweet is a perfect Rorschach test for your political affiliations. If you are republican, the tweet dismisses the comparison out of hand. If you’re a democrat, the tweet trollies.

What do you think?

I think that there’s legitimate reason to compare Trump to Nixon. For example, how they ran their presidential campaigns.

And the Nixon library is dedicated in part to documenting the truth about the man, for better or for worse. That’s why they took on the Haldeman diaries, and made them publicly available.

I think it’s purely as a point of accuracy. The tone of “FUN FACT” makes it sounds sarcastic, and subject to framing.

Oh yeah, totally agree. But if the Nixon library posts the Fox piece at the top of their feed, are they really “trolling” trump as many are saying, or in fact dismissing the comparison.

I’m not hip to how Twitter works, so I can’t find in their feed where they link to Fox News. I did find these, though:
