Yup. A lot of 19th and 20th century dictators wanted to see themselves as successors of Rome. Emperor Napoleon… Czar and Tsar are the same word as Caesar.

You served in both the US and Nazi military? Just how old are you?

Then you’re happy people are saying there’s a huge distinction between the US Military insignia and the Nazis? And that there damn well should be?

Another, more obvious, distinction. Look at the direction of the eagle’s head.

Maybe some of us who see a strong resemblance between the Nazi logo and the logo on the shirt are pushed in that direction because the logo is right under a Nazi American slogan.

At Madison Square Garden, the rally opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag. The mood was jubilant. Attendees wore Nazi armbands, waved American flags and held aloft posters with slogans like “Stop Jewish Domination of Christian America.” There were storm troopers in the aisles, their uniforms almost identical to those of Nazi Germany. “It looked like any political rally — only with a Nazi twist,” said Arnie Bernstein, author of Swastika Nation.
