Goog god, are we supposed to keep track of such relations? My wife’s brother just got married, now you tell me I should have been paying attention to her parents’ names when they introduced themselves? I have enough trouble keeping track of all the women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault.
Trump apologizes for boasting about groping women, says he'll be talking about Bill Clinton more now
I think it’s three. And Trump had them at the debate! The 4th special guest was the girl who was raped by a guy Hillary defended as a public defender. There’s also two woman (one who was 13 at the time) who are accusing Trump of rape/assault.
Hey, did anyone else notice Melania Trump’s wardrobe choice for tonight’s debate?
The description really grabbed me.
I can honestly say I did not
My issue is this, women have been treated like crap by men in power. Trump is right; it’s allowed when you are in power. You can go right up to a lady and grab her in her vajayjay. Yep. I’ve had powerful men assault me, a bunch of times. Men think it’s consent. Women find it confusing. Somehow it’s supposed to be flattering at the same time it’s assault.
I’d just like to see the political scene wiped of anyone who thinks this is okay and replaced with candidates who seriously advocate for women to be safe in all working environments.
Women to be safe in all environments. Full stop.
Well, the “Trump’s just a stalking-horse used to make the other Republican candidates look like Reasonable Statesmen by comparison” is a longstanding theory (and indeed, I predicted that was his role in the primary, which is why no one ran hard against him - the idea was to let him draw all the media fire, and then anoint a Chosen One to be the NotTrump.)
The argument against it being a currrent ongoing conspiracy designed to slip in some evil asshole like Mike Pence at the very last minute founders on the fact, already noted by @Ryuthrosstuff, that really, the last minute has already passed, AND the fact that if this were all an evil plot, they would’ve never made Paul Ryan and the NeverTrumpers kiss Trump’s ass.
I think it’s more likely that this is the unintended consequence of (a) letting Trump run wild in the primary, (b) the failure of the Republican Clown Car to leave their egos behind and whittle down the field to anointed champion(s), thus allowing Trump to get “leading candidate” media-momentum with a measly 30% of the vote, and © the idiocy of the late “winner-take-all” primaries designed to tip things in a marginal leader’s favor to prevent a floor fight at the convention — when a floor fight was exactly what they needed to dump someone like Trump.
Only way I see them getting to run Mike Pence at this point is if someone shoots Trump. Then, I’d suspect conspiracy.
Which would be a terrible thing, and in more ways than one.
