Not paying your lawyers when you’re in legal trouble seems even to dumb for those guys, and that’s saying something.
In Giuliani’s case, I can see the delusional hubris of thinking he can do a good job appearing pro se, but the others? Banking on presidential pardons, even for stuff that can’t be pardoned by the president? It just doesn’t make any sense. Cowardly assholes usually have some idea of how the weasel out, and I would like to apologise to any and all actual members of the genus Mustela of the family Mustelidae for dragging them into this here.
