Trump doesn’t do “self-deprecating humor.” At all. The fact that he’s OK with people occasionally making fun of his family but not himself is not a mark in his favor.
Case in point: the Al Smith Charity Dinner is an event where Presidential candidates traditionally take a little break from the campaign to let loose with some lighthearted jokes about themselves and others. When Trump participated in 2016 the closest he was able to come to a self-deprecating joke was when he basically called his wife an idiot plaigarist. The look of suppressed pain on Melania’s face was palpable.
