Funny monkey, do you really think Sanders would be crushing all comers in general election polling if he didn’t also appeal to people (like me) who don’t check off all your ideological boxes? There are many things I disagree with him about, but his basic human decency makes him vastly more agreeable than the other remaining major candidates, who in terms of personality range from obnoxious to soul-chilling.

The white protestors left the scene… But somehow they thought they were gonna drive to South Dallas and tell them about how their religion was wrong at gunpoint.

And yeah, Trump would be in exactly the same position if he became president… no way he’d be impeached within 18 months of taking office. If Clinton was president and there was a large terrorist attack I’m pretty sure a Republican congress would impeach her.
I live with a family full. you’re just going to get ridiculed and asserted that you’re in your own world instead of ‘where we are in the real world.’
It is not a fun experience. I’ve given up trying because it’s been shoved in my face time and again, even as they admit I am the person that keeps track of these things, that they know better.

While they detest anything Clinton, they’d have a difficult time disobeying their paymasters wishes to keep the most corporatist president their money could buy in office as long as possible.

Ooh, I dunno… Bill Clinton was pretty pro business (welfare “reform” and destroying Glass Steagall) and they had impeachment hearings, albeit toward the end of his presidency. With President Clinton #2, she may be pro-status quo, but the enthusiasm of the paymasters might wane if she insists on her lead cleanup or does some investigations into tax havens. I still say that she’ll do some borderline executive shit with judicial nominations, prosecutions or the IRS and be facing down a hearing in her first term. They really do hate her that much.
If you think they hate having a black man in the office, imagine how much more offensive it is to have a woman there. Honestly, it’s one of the reasons why I think it wouldn’t be bad to have her be the trailblazer in that regard, because she can handle it, both professionally and personally. I wouldn’t wish being the first woman president in the U.S. on my worst enemy.
