I agree but his reaction makes it so much more bizarre. He’s so brain damaged that when the easy thing would be to say Biden is wrong (this one time) he instead quadruples down on the crazy and behaves as if he did call his wife Mercedes and that he does it on purpose.
Biden needs to call him nuts with examples at least once a day so he Elvises himself sooner than later.
It is really disappointing this story has had so much traction because it reflects a lack of cautious and thoughtful investigation, and gives the right some fresh ammo to sling.
But then again, it’s also hilarious that Trump feels compelled to get in front of the camera to explain it away and convince everyone that he does not, in fact, have dementia.
Well…that part doesn’t bother me. They’ll make up shit even if we don’t give them ammo. My concern is, as you said, the lack of caution and thoughtful investigation, and the lack of healthy skepticism. When stories fit our already existing knowledge and beliefs, we just tend to abandon healthy skepticism, and it’s partly how we got here.
Or is it Melanin? Or are those his pills? You don’t get orange like that without Melanin applying the make-up / Melanie counting out the pills. /s
Finally watched the clips and agree that it’s his response that is the story here, if anything. What a whiny fucking baby. I know the reasons, but it still blows my mind that so many of our neighbors and community members think this guy is a macho hero.
Every strongman / dictator / etc. shares similar traits. Narcissistic, overbearing, even delusional, they make their time in power all about themselves. Fundamentally they’re weak and insecure, needing constant assurance that they are indeed the man-god they say they are. Their ego is their Achilles’ heel. They can’t stand being seen as weak. So Trump whines. Putin on the other hand kills his detractors. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were another Trump administration Donny boy would take up that hobby too. Though he’d still whine before doing the deed.
It appears that very few commenters actually read any other peoples’ comments here. I saw this pointed out the first time the story was posted and most people just breezed past as though nobody had said anything. This time it’s the second comment on the whole thread, almost impossible to miss, and people are still doing it!
From everything I have heard, Trump hates melanin. His entire idea for what passes as policy is based on that, hating other sexes and orientations, and loving dictators.
Of course he pretends to hate it. From what we know of people like this, they rail in public against the things they are doing in private. From milky white to dark orange skin takes … something.
(Maybe it’s beta-carotin, but he doesn’t rant about that much.)
