Trump orders Barr to defund 'anarchist jurisdictions'— Seattle, NYC, Portland, Washington DC

Well, he’s been writing Trump’s material, unofficially, for a long time now…

He is at war with the majority of the population of the United States.

Fucker.

The difference with Catholic eschatology is that the thousand-year reign is seen as metaphorical; the Second Coming, the Rapture, and the Final Judgment all happen at the same time.

Boston was also the last stronghold of Jansenism (more Calvinist than Catholic!) owing partly to the fact that the long arm of the Inquisition didn’t penetrate very far into North America. And from that fertile manure arose some pretty virulent groups like the Feeneyists - who are still going strong in Richmond, New Hampshire and recognized by SPLC as a hate group.

Perhaps the way Trump knows about them is that they work for him?

Trump is a Law and Order president … in that I could absolutely see Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson and Ice T’s Odafin Tutuola barge into his office, announce that he’s under arrest, and walk him out in handcuffs. [Though I suppose that would make him a Law and Order: Special Victims Unit president.]

Yes, I know that. But I tend to think that the joke still works fine even if you want to split theological hairs (which, to be fair, are the only sort of real theological argument…)

What’s worse is that a lot of that majority won’t pick up a ballot to defend themselves in November.

Still can’t wrap my brain around the argument that AntiFaschist , those against fascism are causing violence and chaos. Cause fascism is a positive thing?

Or that the extremely well documented, numerically-proven bias in policing/criminal justice is just our imagination?

At what point in American history was that even remotely true? When was access to justice not severely limited by race and class?

Back when everybody liked Ike. I never said the laws were fair but the laws in place applied to all. They were actually very shitty laws IMHO. Segregation in particular made no sense. There were riots then too!

they did not.

Not rich people obviously. They had lawyers.

Laws have not been built as a leveler. They were there to defend wealth.

That’s why wealthy people have lawyers.

The laws themselves defend them.

Trump is the LAW**!**

I’m sure that seems funny, but it’s not for people who are at risk right now. Our entire, fragile system disintegrating isn’t funny, it’s tragic.

Now that the system is not yelling at me. I forgot to place a /s tag. Sorry @anon61221983.
It was all like “Why don’t you send a private message?”
