i will give him this, he is much better at evasiveness than kelly con, but he lacks the flair of shifting the subject and attacking back w/ unrelated pieces of questionable non-facts that other republican talking heads have. but it is hard to do. he comes off as an angry bro to me, which is I guess what he is.
the only person I’ve seen who I consider a master of evasion is paul ryan…his golden tongue dodges and flatters like it were an olympic sport.
“Jake, what I care about is having three minutes to tell the truth about the American people,” Miller said to Tapper after “State of the Union” had cut to commercial.
"You had plenty of time,” Tapper said. “I let you have like a three minute filibuster at the very top.”
“You gave me two minutes,” Miller shot back, later adding, “You should be ashamed of yourself. Honestly.”
“This is the reason they don’t put you on TV,” Tapper said. “Okay? This is the reason.”
“You spent the entire interview attacking CNN, OK? So don’t act all offended," the host added.
“I’m not acting offended,” Miller said. “I am offended. I’m offended by you and I’m offended by your network.”
Miller reportedly was escorted off the set by CNN security after refusing to leave after that. -TheHill
I’d pay good money to see a Tapper / Miller cage fight.
i just wish the media would stop referring to miller in the same breath as the watered-down phrase “white identity politics” and just call him what he is: a bigot and a nazi.
Good on Tapper. All journalists should emulate this behavior. When targeted questions elicit a general P.R. speech, the interview is over. CNN wants answers to particular questions from the administration; Trump & Co. don’t have a right to CNN as an unfettered platform for press releases. That’s what Fox News is for.
Not to harp on the guy’s freaky robot-like appearance, but I was extremely weirded out when I found out he was born in 1985. The dude just turned 32 a few months ago!
I guess a lifetime of being a professional bigot and lickspittle ages a man.
Two things that caught my attention: 1) his eyes are very heavy-lidded, as if he had too much NyQuil and 2) he pronounces dynasty as “dinnastie”. I’ve never heard that before.
