I could believe Trump doesn’t know Carroll, in between Trump sexually assaulting so many women he can’t keep them all straight (and doing it so casually he doesn’t remember), and his general cognitive decline (he made it clear during the proceedings that he didn’t recognize his own ex-wife). I don’t think I do believe it in this case, but I could.
As with most “defenses” of Trump, they’re actually their own (multiple) damnations of him, if you accept them…
