How many appeals does Trump have left in this case? Surely it’s not Supreme Court-worthy. I’m just hoping to live long enough to finally see this guy (literally) pay for at least one of his crimes.

Thoughts and prayers.

Hmm… In order to appeal orange boy must either put up the entire amount of the judgement or a bond for the amount. Either way it’s time to put up or shut up.

It’s going to be interesting to see, if he is elected again, what happens when he travels. Will he get the “we don’t let rapists into the country” or “heads of state have immunity” treatment?

One particularly depressing view to this question:

The Atlantic’s David A. Graham today asks “Is $83.3 Million Enough to Make Trump Stop Lying?” The question, coming as it does after a lifetime of Trump, says more about the media than the man.

is a reasonable assumption that in the trumpy mindset it’s the lying/shouting victimization which allows trump to continue to delude support and make money off the core morons. So to ask “how much to fine trump to stop him defaming?” when they presume that it’s the defaming that makes it possible for him to pay such fines then it just becomes a calculus of how much vile grifting provides maximum gain versus the amount of the fines. “So fine him a half trillion!” …yes, yet then that just helps them support their deluded point then, doesn’t it? -sigh-

$83 million is a big enough portion of his available assets that he’s gonna feel it.

Yes, the trial brought him even more notoriety. But it’s hardly the kind of publicity that’s guaranteed to win him more votes than it costs him.

I think Trump’s critics should take this ruling for what it is: a clear win.

I don’t think the money comes out of his pocket. His criminal organization will pay it, call it “deep state oppression,” and probably make a profit from his credulous worshipers.

Is he on a sex offender list yet?

Oh well done that court - allowing him to appeal but requiring him to find the money is genius.

Now let’s see if he actually puts his (or his cult’s) money where his mouth is.

Sadly the determination that he sexually assaulted her wasn’t a criminal finding, only a civil one. He doesn’t get flagged as a sex offender.

And the judgements are not for raping her, but for claiming that he didn’t rape her.
Edited to add: Actually, I think it’s even one step more removed from this. The judgement is for him claiming that she is a liar when she said that he raped her.

How much will it cost to stop the media from printing Trump’s lies?

How much would it take to do a hostile takeover of the Murdoch media portfolio?

You shouldn’t have to buy all the networks. Being able to buy out one of them should be enough to make the others pay attention.

Or you could buy back the media regulation arm of government back off Murdoch’s and Disney’s lobbyists. Pretty sure we don’t have enough money between us for that, either.
