Itâs a fair cop, but I do think Trump goes a little beyond. To say in the same breath that this is the worst embarrassment in the history of the country and that the Taliban are âvery smartâ is some kind of hyper-Reagan that Reagan could have only dreamed of.
There are worse descriptions of Trump.
They made a smart deal, beautiful deal. That Biden should have had me make the deal, he got a bad deal. Bad Biden. I good deal person. /S
from the article:
âI have never realized how important, franklyâand it is a horrible thing to sayâhow important a president, the head of this country is,â Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday night. âI thought it would maybe run through bureaucracy. It doesnât. You need somebody up there that they are going to respect.â
oh, bullfuckingshit! he wanted the job for the ultimate power (and ultimate opportunity for grift on the grandest scale) !
edit to add: he knew what the office was and wanted to corrupt it all to himself as a Mussolini type fascist dictator.
sadly, there are many still in elected offices that want that for him, too.
Dunno. I think it might have seemed like the ultimate celeb gig where you turn up and mouth off and everyone else does the shit. And to be fair who wouldnât since Reagan was a thing?
Actively being expected to work, particularly as he didnât have an established team of pros like Reagan, probably was a shock. Most presidents, most politicians, are really able people. Iâve seen ones who I didnât respect close up and they worked hard and quickly to master their brief. Better able than me.
Considering that his management style was to say things and trust theyâd be taken care of, even for a actual coup attempt, I can imagine him both wanting absolute power and being disappointed the bureaucracy doesnât handle everything.
It was clearly both. He got power, prestige (Trump branding for the grift), and he thought he could sit on his ass and run the country via executive orders.
Yep. He likes to blame it on bureaucracy because he doesnâtknow what it means to do an actual job.
I like to think that this primate does more work with its mouse than Donald Trump has ever done.
Can probably use a computer better, too.
I donât see any shit on the keyboard, so assertion checks out.
Perfect.
I mean, the monsoon is having some bad effects, but itâs good to see, fairly soon after Trompâs presidency, another clear example of how the whole Border Wall thing was just an opportunistic, racist boondoggle.
That last paragraph in the article is amazing.
He didnât do the drill: âperson man woman camera⌠hang on!â
Womp womp.
