We don’t have six months, we are likely to be in the same position as Italy in one month. Hospitals overloaded, not enough beds or staff, forget about respirators. A vaccine? Even with the crash development and testing they are doing now, if it works on the first revision, and isn’t either ineffective or deadly, it’s six months minimum to have it in mass production.
People think it will go away when the weather warms, but parts of asia where it was were hot, and no correlation with weather has been found. No one really knows why colds and flu are correlated with weather, but it’s been shown that covid isn’t.
