I’m guessing that, at the moment, immigration is at a complete standstill because none of the relevant offices are open. It’s really hard to tell these days whether Trump’s proclamations are empty grandstanding about something that’s already happening outside his control (and/or which he has no intention of doing) or represent actual power-grabs taking advantage of the fact that no one can oppose him at the moment…

I’m wonder if there is some plan on how agricultural needs will be met without legal, or illegal migrant workers?
I guess that is one way to ensure there is no unemployment, but from what I remember when I did a summer of migrant work, the pay was pretty poor in comparison to minimum wage.
