1 - Print out that Trump said businesses would “work with the people”.
2 - Go to the nearest Trump hotel.
3 - Demand a free room and free meals until the shutdown ends.
4 - Record the results on video and post them online.
5 - Done.

I always wanted some dogged reporter to simply ask every congress critter: “About how much does a loaf of bread cost?” Would we be shocked (shocked) if less than a half got within 50% of the mean price (either way)? …with more than a few older guys saying “i dunno… 50 cents?”

This is literally how things work in Trump’s life. For him, working with institutions meant they “knew him” and he could get what he wanted out of them. Things get handed to him, and even when they don’t, he still takes them without paying and faces no negative consequences for doing so. He thinks this is how the world works for everyone. The total and complete lack of self-awareness is staggering.
Ah, but they don’t “know you.” Unknown peasants get nothing from them. If you were, say, a Saudi prince, on the other hand…
Honestly, I’m fairly sure never in his adult life, at the very least. It’s possible he did so as a kid (he got in trouble as a kid for bunking off school, going to novelty shops in Times Square and buying switchblades, etc. so it’s conceivable he also went into a grocery store), but maybe not even then.
That’s actually amazing, the idea that as an adult human being, he might never have even set foot inside a grocery store.

My gut tells me it would be something like that video of that one time Michael Jackson had a supermarket shut down so he could pretend to shop like “normal” people, but with like…a whole lot of insults and degredation.

What’s the problem? Surely the air traffic controllers could just pawn some of that gear just “laying around” the airport, after all the TSA isn’t watching. Or just max out the credit cards. Get a payday loan, or go see “Joey the Loanshark”, I’m sure they know you’re good for it.

The thing where he demands a “down payment” for the wall really shows how the project is framed in his head.
It’s another big real estate construction project that somebody else pays for and that he can put his name on in the end. I am seriously surprised the wall slats aren’t logo-ed.
It’s intended as a racist monument, sure, but his tactics are still all “Buy my big building” paid for by sucker investors.
