but…but… corporation are people, right? Didn’t citizens united make that distinction?

I’ll believe it when some of these corporate greed mongers start getting thrown in jail.

“All told, Deutsche Bank and its co-lenders have given the Trump Organization over $2.5B in loads.”

Sounds about right.

All told, Deutsche Bank and its co-lenders have given the Drumpf Organization over $2.5B in loans.

DB has been a very troubled institution for a number of reasons: severely dysfunctional management, huge lawsuits, balance-sheet issues, etc. This is why they were one of the few remaining major banks in the West after 2000* desperate enough to continue loaning money to a known grifter. Fortunately for Il Douche, non-Western banks in certain countries stepped in to make up for any shortfalls.

[* Wells Fargo was the other one, just to give you an idea]

Hey, don’t we all do this? It’s just what we do to get by.

Like when I forgot our anniversary and got put in the dog house, but then took her out for a special dinner and a show, and all was OK.

It’s not the same? How about this:

Like when I forgot our anniversary while she was awaiting trial and got put in the dog house appointed judge in her court, but then took her out for a special dinner and a show moved her trial date to the year 2525, and all was OK.

EDIT: Wait, hang on, I forgot the part about her having something over on me. How’s this:

Like when I forgot our anniversary while she was awaiting trial FOR ATTEMPTING TO CUT OFF MY LITTLE WEE-WEE BECAUSE I FORGOT OUR ANNIVERSARY and got put in the dog house appointed judge in her court, but then took her out for a special dinner and a show moved her trial date to the year 2525, and all was OK.

What possible justification could be used to grant these hugely profitable organizations reprieve?

There isn’t any. This is just plain, unconcealed corruption.

After he was too messy for even DB, Trump had to go to rich people’s payday loan joints in Cyprus.

What could be wrong with getting loans from Cypriot banks? They’re all owned and operated by hard-working and industrious locals, aren’t they?

They all have Cypriot passports, yes.

Cypriots are the best, really the most luxurious, totally not Russian bankers. Believe me!

From “Mother Jones” earlier:

“The Bank of Cyprus is also well known as a money-laundering haven for Russian oligarchs. Trump’s Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross has invested heavily in the Bank of Cyprus (some $424 million in 2014, giving him an 18% stake) and he was once vice-chairman of the bank, according to the Guardian. Ross presided over deals that raise questions about his tenure at the bank and his ties to politically connected Russian oligarchs.”

The same justifications the Obama, Bush, and Clinton governments used, presumably. Which I think was something along the lines of “we worship at the altar of government-enforced income redistribution from the working classes to those who enjoy inherited wealth” or something along those lines? It’s hard to decipher pseudo-scientific Chicago School economic theories.

Give a man a gun, and he can rob a bank. But give him a bank, and he can rob the world.

I still don’t think Prez Cheeto colluded on the election but I do sure think he owes someone in Eastern Europe money. Or at least he’s been helping with laundering money for said people. I mean look at the fact he appointed Wilbur Ross who was involved with the bank of Cyprus. That’s enough for me. The rest just seems like minor details.

Seems like a massive conflict of interest, is such a waiver of criminal punishment legal?

It’s simply a direct continuation of what previous administrations/politicians have been doing with the criminal charges against these paragons of the Capitalist system. None of them are completely clean, as much as you like or prefer one politician over another.
