This is just like their denials around the collaboration with Russia. “No collusion! It was just our Campaign Manager meeting with Russian intelligence to request help and pass along confidential campaign targeting information. You can’t blame T**** for a direct employee of his campaign doing something!”

Saturday, at the annual meeting of the National Rifle Association… he urged gun owners to vote and to “be rebellious.” Then he told the crowd that Biden’s actions were such that if he “were a Republican, he would have been given the electric chair, they would have brought back the death penalty.”

I don’t think he even bothers to blame others for the fascist stuff ever since it became apparent that his base loves it. Remember when he started posting Mussolini quotes during the 2016 election cycle and when people called him out his response was basically “So what? I like good quotes.” Should have ended his political prospects right then and there (just like dozens of other things he did in 2016) but we’re living in an age of fascist revival.
