Party admissions are a fun thing. Of course it will be used against him in the criminal matter.
“… a little bit of witness intimidation going on”.
Oh well, so long as it’s only a little bit, that’s fine.
It’s crazy, too that this is a breach of contract suit since Cohen was already tried, convicted and served time for federal offenses related the exact same incident! Crimes tend to render contracts null and void.
So this lawsuit a) directly undermines his defense in a criminal case, b) is a very public attempt to intimidate a witness in a criminal case, and c) keeps that criminal case alive in the public’s attention. Yeah, real genius, that Trump - his instinct to hit back at people who displease him often ends up being self-destructive, as I hope it will be in this case.
Attorney-client privilege does not cover criminal acts. On the contrary, as an officer of the court, an attorney has an obligation to report crimes in progress.
Since Cohen isn’t representing T**** in this criminal case, he can be treated as any other witness.
“Everything Michael Cohen says is a complete and total lie, and I told him those lies in the strictest of confidence!”
