He’s not so far gone that he can’t distinguish between China being real and Hollywood being all acting and creative accountancy is he? If so, we should totally get him to believe that Jurassic Park is a documentary.
Has anyone else ever consider Macron ‘vicious’?
Trump’s love of Macron is all down to him being invited to a Bastille Day Parade and seeing lots of soldiers go by - he thought they were there to salute him rather than commemorating the Revolution which would have had the Trumps meeting Mme Guillotine tout de suite.

IIRC Trump had already been demanding a military parade of his own, with tanks and missile launchers, etc, so Macron’s people knew that he would be thrilled by the Bastille Day parade.

I thought it was the other way round? He went to Paris, avoided paying tribute to America’s war dead because it was raining, saw the parade for Bastille Day and then demanded something similar in Washington.

He’s a flim flam man / real estate shyster. He has NEVER had a firm grasp on reality versus whatever puffery he was using to sell his current project. Even more so now that what he is currently selling is himself.
