The cheater way is to use coconut milk (usually found in a shelf-stable carton) as if were cow’s milk and make your hot cocoa that way.

Speaking of addictive… I used to use St Brendan’s Irish Cream for most of the liquid during the winter season – it just doesn’t work in CA winters, though.
