Something tells me there is more to this story. I travel through Phoenix quite a bit and the airport is very chill, yet the TSA agents there are very hostile and seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Too much time on their hands? I’m usually coming from Atlanta and thousands go through TSA with relatively little problems, considering the huge amounts of travelers. Never had an issue in ATL, but have witnessed PHO TSA yelling and hostile.
I’ve found in the last 20 years with TSA the smaller the pond, the bigger the fish. Big hub airports they tend to be mostly fine and not complete jerks. Fliy out of a smaller regional airport, they feel they are lords over their tiny fiefdom.
All that violence and a 3-year ban from flying because of a carton of fruit juice?
Madness
Perhaps that “apple juice” was actually hard cider, she drank copious amounts on the public side and then tried to bring some over to the secure side so she could continue the party.
Personally, I have a perry at my side right now.
One more not so wonderful thing from the annie rand-pen-named author.
Agreed. I’m going with a combination of agitated passenger and TSA having the same de-escalation skill and training that most metro police have.
